Mindy Meckelborg / Managing Partner, Operations Manager

Mindy started with MFG in 2009 as an Executive Assistant. In 2014, she became Partner and assumed her current role as Operations Manager. She works closely with our team members to create efficiencies within our internal systems, as well as with our custodians to improve upon our day-to-day processes. She works alongside our issuers to coordinate fundings, distributions, tax reporting, communiques, etc. Most recently, her role has expanded to include marketing and compliance related activities within the firm.

Mark has been working in the investment industry for over 15 years. He is a founding partner and president of Meckelborg Financial Group Ltd. and is currently registered as a Portfolio Manager. He has been instrumental on the business development side (sourcing quality investments for our clients) and oversees our in-house asset management division.

Benoit joined the Financial industry in 1999 as an assistant. Since that time, he has been fortunate enough to learn and appreciate all aspects of this wonderful business. His day to day involves managing relationships and providing quality service to a large number of MFG clients. He helps lead our Advisory division where the main focus is to be Always Improving and using our Team Approach to ensure we are delighting our clients. Benoit also takes pride in his role as Chief Compliance Officer, overseeing all compliance, regulatory requirements, and policies and procedures.

Mark joined MFG in 2007 as a Research Analyst and later became registered as a Portfolio Manager in January 2011. His duties include building, monitoring, and managing client portfolios and relationships. He also helps manage the MFG Diversified Strategy Fund. He spends a good part of his day in the research function of our firm and chairs the Investment Strategy Committee.

Zach started with MFG in 2016 as a Client Relationship Manager and Research Analyst. He spent the majority his first two years leaning the business and obtaining his current licensing as a Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®). His role evolved to a Partner and Associate Portfolio Manager. He spends the majority of his time servicing our clients and also works on our business development team to help introduce new families to MFG. Zach also focuses on organizing and structuring our client servicing to ensure no stone is unturned when dealing with our client’s financial situation.

Richie entered the industry in 2007 and quickly discovered a passion for working with individuals, families, and business owners. He joined MFG in 2013 as a Research Analyst and became an Associate Portfolio Manager in 2015. He is a Partner, Portfolio Manager, a licensed Insurance Agent, and oversees MFG’s insurance and financial planning team. Richie works with families and business owners, offering personalized advice and solutions to help achieve their specific financial goals.

Gerard brings a wealth of experience to MFG with analytical training as a Professional Engineer before joining the life insurance, securities and options fields in 1991. As a portfolio manager, planner and life insurance advisor, his highly developed and broad skills benefit corporate and personal clients across Canada and around the world regarding their Net Worth Planning, Portfolio, Risk Management and generational asset protection and wealth transfer.

McKenzie started with MFG in 2013 and has worked a few different positions within the company. She obtained licensing to become a Chartered Investment Manager and has transitioned to an Associate Portfolio Manager and Marketing Director. She currently spends the majority of her time making sure all clients receive the highest level of servicing and have received the full MFG client experience. She also works on many specialty projects which help drive our business development.

Kohl joined MFG in 2019 as a Research Analyst and is currently an Associate Portfolio Manager. In 2022, he obtained his Chartered Investment Manager’s designation. Kohl is dedicated to helping clients achieve their financial goals and spends much of his time in our Investment Management Division, where he oversees the management and operations of MFG’s public and private investment platforms.

Jacy started at MFG in 2021. She has worked as an Executive Assistant in the Financial industry for a few years off and on, beginning in 2011. Her main role with MFG is Client Relations Specialist to the MFG sales team. She works closely with the advisors to ensure great client servicing, maintaining their client files, processing business, and follow up.

Connor started at MFG in 2023. He attended the University of Saskatchewan where he completed a Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Finance. Following this he spent two years in Regina working for a commercial real estate developer. He is currently working within our Portfolio Management division to design, implement and monitor client portfolios. Additionally, his role consists of assessing and evaluating both potential and existing investments.

Tika began her career in the financial industry in 2007 as an Administrative Assistant. Working with a local securities and insurance firm, she quickly moved her way up to Office Manager before transitioning into her current role as Client Relationship Manager. Tika started with MFG in January of 2022 and is dedicated to ensuring clients receive the utmost care and attention.

Clark has been a member of the MFG team since 2024, bringing with him two years of prior industry experience. He earned his Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Finance and a minor in International Business from the University of Saskatchewan and the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University in Stuttgart, Germany. As a Client Relations Specialist, Clark is dedicated to ensuring that all client needs are met with the highest level of service. He is also working towards his Chartered Investment Managers designation, further enhancing his expertise and commitment in wealth management.

Claire joined MFG in 2024. She attended the University of Saskatchewan where she completed her Bachelor of Arts with a major in Linguistics and a minor in Psychology. Following this, she spent a few years working in sales and costumer service. Her current role within MFG is a Client Relations Specialist to the MFG sales team. She works alongside advisors to maintain day to day processing of business, client files and follow up to ensure satisfactory experiences for our clients.

Brigitte’s focus centers on the administrative side of the business liaising with our back offices and clients.

Ashlie began working in the industry with a role at one of the largest Canadian Insurance providers in Waterloo Ontario in 2016. Starting at MFG in 2018 she now works exclusively with the Marketing and Insurance divisions. In her role as chair of the Marketing division she focuses on creating content, event planning, promotional material, merchandise, social media, and web design. She also assists with administrative tasks for the Insurance Team & is Life Licensed.

As an Associate Portfolio Manager, Professional Financial Planner and Insurance Advisor, I work with my clients to solve all of their financial planning needs. With 13 years of experience, I work one-on-one with my clients to find solutions to the challenges they face in planning for and managing their retirement.

My typical Sunday in the fall or winter is spent at the rink coaching my kids hockey, in the spring at the ball diamonds for their baseball and softball or in the summer camping at one of Saskatchewan’s great lakes.

I have experienced the ups and downs of the financial markets and the ebbs and flows of many people’s lives throughout my time in business. I believe people want and need an advisor that they can rely on and trust. I have always endeavored to do my best for any and all of the people I work with.

My wife Susan and I enjoy many outdoor activities and participate in walking, pickleball and golf , to name a few. We also love to spend time with our small family, two sons, two daughters in laws, and our granddaughter.
